Hello there - thanks for joining me for
The 12 Days of Washi Crafting for the Holidays
So glad you found me! I invite you to join me and the other followers in subscribing to My Party Passion so you don't miss anything fun!
The projects I am bringing you are so easy and affordable. They wont break your bank account and even the kids can get involved.
It's no secret that I am obsessed with Washi Tape and all the projects you can do with it! I used it for Halloween, parties and every day items.
This is Day 1 of 12 days of Washi Fun!
This is Day 1 of 12 days of Washi Fun!
At the holidays I am always giving out baked goods, homemade candies and such (along with a tip) to the "service" people in our lives. (post man, gal at the bank, paper guy, sanitation people etc). Typically I find those small disposable tins at the dollar store and dress them up with a cute bow and card.
This year, I decided to go a different route. I have been saving coffee cans (from other people as I don't drink it) oatmeal containers and other containers with lids. Cleaning them out, dressing them up with Washi!
Alternating tape patterns, I repeated the pattern around the coffee can until it was completed covered. For the lid, I used some glue dots and put this cute paper fringe from Party On Designs around the rim of the top to dress it up. (my other new obsession favorite thing)
All I have to do now is add my sweets and a card and you have a container that looks great and they might use again!
Other ideas for this project:
Cookie exchange container
Container for a small holiday gift (ie scarves, mittens etc)
Crayon or marker container for kids
Cut a slit in the top and use for spare change to give to charity when full.
The possibilities are endless!
What love to hear what you would you use it for?
I also invite you to email me your projects, links etc to parties@melissanewell.com. I would love to feature them!

DeleteDo you find that some washi tape is better than others? Where do you buy yours at?
ReplyDeleteHi Janie - I have only used a few different "kinds". Some of it (like in this post) is from Pick Your Plum months ago But here are a few sites with great products:
